Police in Gauteng have arrested a female suspect linked to the murder of an e-hailing driver in Pretoria West on 11 February 2026. According to investigators, the driver was hijacked and killed by a male‑female duo who had requested the ride. The hijacked vehicle and the victim’s body were later found in Atteridgeville.

Detectives are examining witness statements and dash‑cam footage to piece together the sequence of events. Authorities confirmed the woman’s arrest and said they are pursuing leads to identify and apprehend the second suspect. She is scheduled to appear in the Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court on 16 February 2026, facing charges of car hijacking and murder.
