BREAKING NEWS: ANC Close The Chapter on Limpopo Elective Conference Disputes, Clears Vhembe and Norman Mashabane Regions
The African National Congress (ANC) has closed the chapter on disputes surrounding the Limpopo Regional Elective Conferences, following a resolution by the party's National Executive Committee (NEC). ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula announced that the NEC accepted recommendations from a task team that investigated allegations of irregularities, bogus delegates, and disputes in the Peter Mokaba, Vhembe, and Norman Mashabane regions.
The Vhembe and Norman Mashabane regions were cleared of wrongdoing, while the Peter Mokaba region's investigation is still ongoing. Mbalula emphasized that the NEC has adopted measures to strengthen conference processes and guidelines moving forward, and referred those involved in undermining organizational processes for disciplinary action.
"The matter of Limpopo and the conference is closed and done with," Mbalula declared, signaling a fresh start for the party in the province. The NEC's decision paves the way for the integration of ANC structures in Limpopo and allows regional branches to focus on their work.
