BREAKING NEWS: Jacob Zuma's Daughter Implicated in Recruiting South Africans to Fight in Russia-Ukraine War
Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, the daughter of former South African President Jacob Zuma, is facing serious allegations of recruiting young men from South Africa and Botswana to fight in the Russia-Ukraine war. The recruits, around 20 in total, were allegedly told they'd be working as security guards for her father's party, the MKP, but instead found themselves on the front lines in Ukraine.
According to reports, Duduzile reassured parents that their sons wouldn't be sent to combat, but instead would be patrolling, cooking, or cleaning weapons. However, the men received military equipment and were deployed to Ukraine, where they lost contact with their families.
The South African government has launched an investigation into the matter, with President Cyril Ramaphosa's office stating that the men were lured with promises of lucrative contracts. Duduzile, a member of South Africa's parliament, has not responded to requests for comment.
This isn't the first controversy surrounding Duduzile, who's been involved in scandals over her pro-Russian activity on social media and is currently on trial for inciting violence in 2021.
