The Limpopo police have arrested a 54-year-old suspect linked to a string of insurance-related murders. The suspect, believed to be the mastermind behind the crimes, is the brother of former SAPS officer Sergeant Rachel Kutumela. He will appear in the Polokwane Magistrate's Court, where he will later join Kutumela, her sister Anna Shokane, and daughter Flora Shokane.
Allegations and Charges
The accused are facing charges of murder, fraud, and money laundering, allegedly benefiting over R10 million from the deaths of nine victims. Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba, Limpopo police spokesperson, stated that the arrest is a culmination of hard work by detectives and that more arrests are imminent.
Investigation and Arrests
The police investigation, led by Keshia Mabunda and the provincial tracking team, has resulted in the arrest of the fourth suspect. Kutumela and her co-accused appeared in court while the latest suspect was being arrested. The case will proceed in the High Court in October next year.

Community members in Moletjie expressed shock at the recent arrest. The suspect is expected to appear in the Polokwane Magistrate's Court and later join the other accused in the High Court.
