A 17‑year‑old girl from Denstaat village is set to appear before the Senwabarwana Magistrate’s Court today, charged with attempted murder. The charge follows an incident on Friday, 7 November, in which she allegedly poured hot water on a 20‑year‑old woman and struck her with a bottle during a confrontation.
The victim, who sustained serious injuries, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police were summoned to the scene in the Alldays policing area of the Capricorn District, and a case of attempted murder was opened. The suspect was arrested shortly after the incident.
Authorities have confirmed that the teenager will remain in custody pending her court appearance. The case has drawn attention to safety concerns in the rural community, and investigators are urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
