Shebeshxt's lawyers have approached the Polokwane High Court on an urgent basis to challenge the Polokwane Magistrate Court's decision to deny him bail. The matter will be heard on Wednesday morning in front of a judge.
Shebeshxt, whose real name is Lehlogonolo Chauke, is facing multiple charges, including three counts of attempted murder, possession of an unlicensed firearm, malicious damage to property, and robbery with intent to cause bodily harm. His lawyer, Lot Ramusi, argues that Shebeshxt has a lot to lose if he's not granted bail, citing his busy performance schedule during the festive season.
The outcome of the urgent application is pending, and Shebeshxt's legal team is pushing for bail to be granted.
