South African police have taken three individuals into custody for questioning in connection with the murder of renowned DJ and broadcaster, DJ Warras. The 40-year-old was gshot dead outside the Carlton Centre in Johannesburg on Tuesday, sparking widespread shock and tributes from the entertainment industry.
According to authorities, DJ Warras was approached by three suspects who opened fire on him after he parked his vehicle. The motive behind the killing remains unclear, but investigators believe it may be linked to his work in securing buildings against hijackers.
The suspects, who were seen fleeing the scene on foot, are being questioned by police. CCTV footage shows one of the suspects, a man with dreadlocks, firing the fatal shots. The police have appealed for witnesses to come forward with any information that may aid the investigation.
