Lekompo musician Shebeshxt, real name Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, has been charged with additional offences while in custody. The charges follow the discovery of prohibited items, including a cellphone and, a pipe similar to that used for smoking drugs, at the Polokwane Holding Cells.
Shebeshxt is already facing serious charges, including attempted murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, malicious damage to property, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and robbery with aggravating circumstances. These charges stem from an incident on October 19, 2025, where he allegedly fired shots at another motorist during a road rage incident in Ladanna, Polokwane.
Shebeshxt's bail hearing has been postponed, and he will remain in custody until further notice. If convicted, he faces severe penalties, including long-term imprisonment.
