BREAKING NEWS: President Boko Hosts State Banquet for President Ramaphosa Ahead of Bi-National Commission

GABORONE — President Advocate Duma Boko hosted a state banquet in honour of visiting South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, who is in Botswana for a two-day state visit. The banquet forms part of the official programme marking Ramaphosa’s visit. 

Tomorrow, President Boko and President Ramaphosa will co-chair the 6th Botswana–South Africa Bi-National Commission. The two leaders are expected to strengthen bilateral cooperation and consolidate outcomes from ministerial engagements across key sectors.

The Bi-National Commission provides a platform for both countries to review cooperation in areas including trade, energy, security, transport, and regional integration.

Ramaphosa’s visit underscores ongoing diplomatic engagement between Botswana and South Africa as both governments work to deepen economic and political ties.
